Holsworthy can never be accused of doing things in half measures. After the success of last years St Peters fair, the good folks of Holsworthy decided that they needed to step things up a bit this year. After much debate and a public consultation it was agreed upon that the only way to top last years celebration was to reintroduce public hanging.
To carry out the event a special structure made out of scaffolding has been erected in the main square. The 105 ft tall design will be visible as far afield as Chillsworthy.
The towns folk will then celebrate this new yearly tradition with a fireworks display at 11pm.
Crimes which could result in hanging after a court hearing with the Mafia are:
- Not picking up after your dog.
- Putting your bin bags out early.
- Incorrectly parking your vehicle in the square.
- Mocking the St Peters Fair committee.
Committing these crimes may result in punishment
